Parrot’s beak
One of the most
dramatic plants for spilling over the sides of containers, lotus bears soft,
silvery foliage and bold, lobster-clawlike flowers in shades of orange, red,
and yellow.
It is endemic to Canary Islands. The parrot’s
beak like curvature which given its name. This flower blooms best in
spring and demands cool temperature.
Only a few members of this species exist today. The
disappearance of parrot’s beak flowers has started since 1884.
