Finding Their Way Home

Finding Their Way Home

Have you ever wonder how birds that migrate across thousands of miles find their way home unfailingly every year?

Some birds use landmarks like rivers, mountains or lakes. Others are guided by the sun and the stars.

It is believed that birds have a magnetic alloy called ‘magnetite’ present in their bodies. This is used by them like a compass to navigate in the absence of any other reference point.
