Moon Talk

Sound waves need a medium like air, water or metal to travel through. They cannot travel in a vacuum.Would it be possible to make a normal conversation on the moon?



Answer is no! Because moon surface does not have any suitable medium to travel through. It is airless and wireless.



Then how did the first astronauts on the moon communicate?



By radio. Radio waves can travel through vacuum. The astronauts have devices in their helmets which transfer the sound waves from their voices into radio waves and transmit it to the ground.

The rocks you are standing on get recycled. Volcanoes spit them out as magma, they dry, harden, and after a very long time either get sucked down again by plate tectonics or get pushed towards Earth's core by a fresh layer of rocks above.


Speaking of magma, the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth's surface was 136 degrees F or 57.8 degrees C in El Azizia, Libya recorded in 1922.


Gravity is not distributed equally. Yes, you read that right. Places like Hudson Bay in Canada actually have less gravity than other regions of the globe. This is due to the fact that there is less land mass in that part of the planet thanks both to retreating glaciers on the surface and swirling magma deep in the core.

Unknown scientist who changed the world

1955-Present


If it weren't for Tim Berners-Lee, you would not be able to read this article. He is the man responsible for the introduction of the World Wide Web, having developed it as a communication utility while working at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory. Remarkably, he refused to patent his invention, giving it as a gift to the world instead. The internet has since revolutionized the way people communicate, as well as their ability to acquire information and the speed and efficiency with which global commerce operates. His invention was a truly revolutionary moment in communication, with the potential to surpass the discoveries of Marconi and Alexander Graham-Bell.



1868-1934


Fritz Haber was a German chemist whose work encapsulates both the wonder and the horror which science can uncover. Haber lends his name to a process for the industrial synthesis of ammonia, an important component of fertilizer in modern agriculture. This has helped in the intensive food production which has characterized the modern world, and in turn made possible the massive population growth of the 20th century. He was heavily involved in the development of chemical weapons such as chlorine gas for the Germans in World War I, and he is named by some as the father of chemical warfare. Haber's work helped the development of cyanide gas, used by the Nazis for some of the worst atrocities in human history.



1831-1879


Acclaimed by some as the father of modern physics, James Clerk Maxwell is a hugely influential figure in the fields of electricity, thermodynamics, photography, nuclear energy, and others. His discovery of the electromagnetic spectrum led to the development of television, radio, microwaves, as well as aiding in the development of radio and infrared telescopes. His equations on the electromagnetic field were essential for the Special Theory of Relativity, by one Albert Einstein. He also produced the first color photograph, a picture of a tartan ribbon. His work actually marked a departure from the work of another great scientist, Isaac Newton, and helped to inform the science behind many of the great technological developments of the modern era.

Brain hemorrhage



Brain hemorrhage 


A brain hemorrhage is bleeding in or around the brain. Causes of brain hemorrhage include high blood pressure, abnormally weak blood vessels that leak, drug abuse, and trauma.



 
Causes
There are many causes of brain hemorrhaging. Some of them include a tangling of blood vessels, called an arteriovenous malformation (AVM); bleeding disorders; cerebral aneurysms; head injury; and the use of blood thinners. Drug use and smoking may also cause hemorrhages.

Hemorrhaging occurs when an artery in the brain bursts. The damage a hemorrhage wreaks on the brain is determined by the size of the hemorrhage, the amount of swelling in the skull and how quickly the bleeding is controlled. Some people may be left with permanent brain damage while others recover completely.



Symptoms



1] Sudden, severe headache, numbness, tingling, weakness or paralysis of the face, arm or leg, particularly on one side of the body. 
2] Loss of balance or coordination.
3] Difficulty with swallowing or vision, difficulty understanding, speaking (slurring nonsensical speech), reading or writing.




Treatment

If there is a large amount of bleeding, surgery may be needed to drain the blood and repair damage, according to the Mayo Clinic. A doctor may also prescribe anticonvulsant drugs to control or prevent post-traumatic seizures after surgery.
